Environmental Protection
Environmental protection is another thematic area that Reach Out Tanzania (ROT) is working on because there is an urgent need to mitigate the challenges associated with it.
According to the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), environmental events such as climate change pose the greatest long-term risk to the economy, with human activities causing climate change and resulting in extreme weather events such as heat waves, heavy rainfall, and droughts. Climate change, according to leading economists, is the greatest market failure in human history, with potentially disruptive implications for current and future generations' social well-being, economic development, and financial stability.
Reach Out Tanzania recognizes this reality and recognizes the importance of investing in environmental issues by educating the community about the environmental hazards associated with their activities.
